Ready for the weave

Another landscape ready to be woven into!  Approx.  4.5' x 6.5 '

Newly Finished Work

The first finished in a new series of woven trash paintings.   A conversation about contemporary concerns with the mid-18th century ukiyo-e artists, masters of dynamic composition.  I am really giving myself more freedom to make un-beautiful.  New accomplishments - the color of the pink has actually stirred a gag reflex in a few people.

Reflection (Wave at Kanagawa).  Found plastics, acrylic on paper.  38" x 56"

Under the Bolivian Sky

Closer to the Sun.  From my recent travel to South America.  Bolivia, a land of immense beauty and immense sadness.

More in Progress

This is a new series I am starting.  It will be a body of work in which I have conversations with Hiroshige and Hokusai, learning from their dynamic compositions, but incorporating a hopefully grotesque element with my use of refuse.

Leaving a Door Ajar

So here I go, writing into the open void called the "internet."  Life is full of surprises, never thought that I would be one to start a blog.  Apparently I started two by mistake, not sure how that happened.
